3) OHDA Dance Competition
The next local dance competition is approaching fast!  Oct 13/14 at College Catholique Samuel-Genest (704 Carsons Rd) - near Montreal Road/Aviation Parkway.

If you are new to highland dance and would like to see what a competition looks like - this is a great opportunity!  Free admission for all.
Saturday - Premier dancers competing for championship titles (all ages)
Sunday - Intermediate/Premier dancers in the AM, Primary/Beginner/Novice dancers in the afternoon

We have dancers competing both days - would be great to see some new faces out to cheer our dancers on!

4) OHDA Duties for October 13/14

Saturday Oct 13th - 2 Raffle Baskets (with Rosemary Bremman's school)
The baskets are already completed - we just need volunteers!  I will be doing the first hour Saturday and delivering our baskets.  If you are attending Saturday, or have an hour to spare - please sign up! We have very few dancers on Saturday and we need your help!

Sunday Oct 14th - Kitchen duty (with Danielle Hamilton's school)
This is our usual donations of food to the kitchen and also volunteer hours (and our only kitchen of the year)! I will send along the online sign up when I receive it.  Remember when signing up it is a flipped day - Int/Premier in the morning and Pre-Premier in the afternoon.

5) OHDA Duties for remaining events for the 2018-2019 year:
Sunday/February - Games Duty (lining up choreographies)
June - all schools

6) Kingston Competition - Please do not enter!

The fall Kingston Competition is being judged by Gillian Macdonald, and because Kayleigh is teaching with us, our dancers are not allowed to enter.  The rule is judges cannot judge students of their immediate family.  Thank you for understanding.  Montreal is a few weeks later on Nov 24 - another great event to attend, and SDGHDA on Dec 1!  Plenty of available opportunities this fall!

7) Weekend workshops - coming soon!

I am just in the process of confirming what studio(s) we will be using - but be sure to mark these upcoming dates in your calendar! Registration will be up next week!

Cape Breton STEP DANCING!
